GM What is your first memory of “investing”? #asknostr Mine was 8th grade computer science class in 1999. I had a teacher ahead of his time, we were being taught how to code, use the internet and build our own websites even. Part of the course was learning how to use a stock exchange where we were all provided with a starting amount of money. It was kinda like a fantasy investing league, and although it rewarded short time horizon and risk, it taught me the basics of number go up technology and piqued my interest to eventually go on a long, personal investing journey.

View quoted note → Howdy! I’m content laying here soberly reflecting this New Year’s Eve and silently celebrating to myself. Like most who end up here we all have our own story, and mine is no different really. I’m not risk adverse, I’m used to hurtling myself down mountains toying with trees, rocks and gravity. This past year completely turned my world inside out as I fell way down the rabbit hole. Black is now white, the familiar world is now foreign and I couldn’t be happier about shouldering this newfound burden. I’ve become a much more sovereign citizen and continue to take small steps everyday to ensure the generations who follow me will be cared for. There has always been levity in my world but now there is hope, optimism and purpose. These small steps at times have felt like a free fall into the void, nobody is here to protect me except for myself, 100% responsible, 100% free.
