Half-baked thought of the day: Could small & marginal banks become "early" Bitcoin adopters? If CBDCs come to pass, and smaller banks get disintermediated by the central bank (i.e. the major banks) in the process, some might join the monetary rebellion

Linux node runners: do you install Bitcoin/LN software 1) from distro's repository, 2) by downloading binaries from primary source, 3) by compiling original source code?

Nobody can kick you off #nostr for posting "bring back the guillotine", it's still a dumb and irresponsible thing to say. Please think about what that means, calling for the public beheading of a specific person. Even if you say it as a joke, how many will read it unironically. I recently read Joe Abercrombie's "The Age of Madness", which plays out a kind of French revolution in the fictional world of the "First Law" trilogy. Excellent and terrifying read, no guillotines but an equally grisly method

About two months into #nostr, I can say that I've already had richer interactions here than on any other platform. I'm still under 100 "followers" but quality > quantity any day. Appreciate you #nostrplebs 🫂 🫡
