A moment in Black&White
By: helena giorgiou

Walk gently, but stand your ground,
Let kindness bloom where hope is found.
A heart of peace need not be weak,
True strength lives in the calm we seek.
Give your trust like morning light,
Warm and pure, yet held with sight.
For open hearts can wisely see
The line between truth and fantasy.
Hold gratitude within your soul,
Yet never cease to chase your goal.
The tallest trees still reach above,
Though rooted deep in earth and love.
Life is neither black nor white,
But dawn embracing fading night.
In every choice, let wisdom guide
With grace as compass, truth as tide.
Be soft enough to heal the pain,
Be firm enough to break each chain.
For balance is the quiet art
Of growing strong while keeping heart.

Some hands arrive with warmth to share,
Like morning's hush, like whispered prayer.
They mend the weary, calm the pain,
And bring the sunshine after rain.
Yet even hearts that bloom with grace
May hide a storm no eyes can trace.
For every soul has walked through fire,
And carries wounds that never tire.
The butter melts, the bread is blessed,
A quiet gift, a selfless rest.
But every kindness holds a choice
To heal with hands, or wound with voice.
The knife itself knows neither hate
Nor love—it simply waits for fate.
Its purpose lives within the hand,
And in the heart that gives command.
So judge not by the smile alone,
Nor by the kindness you have known.
For every soul holds dark and light
The truest love sheathes every knife.
Greatness is not empty hands,
But strength that gently understands.
For those who choose to guard, not scar,
Are where the finest people are.
