The simplest and most effective back workout DEADLIFT no excuses - start with the bar and add weight 4-6 times until you reach your 6 rep max - with that weight aim for 10 reps for 2 sets - instantly after the 2nd set drop the weight by 30-40% and do as many reps as possible (when you think you’ve done enough do 3 more reps) ANY rows (machine, dumbell, barbell…) - 2 sets with a weight you think you can do 8 reps but instead of 8 you hammer out 10 - instantly after the 2nd set drop the weight by 50-60% and do as many reps as possible (when you think you’ve done enough do 3 more reps) if you want you can hammer out a few sets of rear flys for rear delts. DONE! zero reason to add additional movements, use all of your energy on these 2-3 and then stop image

Why most guys workouts are fiat AF. They are under the illusion that adding sets or movements = more work and will give them more results. This leads them to do ”less” real work and instead of real work they invest more time or more different movements in to their workout because it’s more comfortable and they think this will yield great results. Great results require great effort per effort not just multiple efforts. Michelangelo didn’t doodle average works every day and expect greatness, every piece was aimed for greatness. You will achieve greater results with one HARD set then you ever will doing multiple movements and multiple sets per movement. STOP doing your 3x10 or whatever your used to. Set the weight so that you think you can achieve 6 reps then visualise and believe that your going to get 12 reps (you’ll land around 8-10 but you will have done more work on that set then you did on your last 6 movement 3 sets each ”workout”) your mind will quit miles before your body will even when training for strength. You can amplify this by visualising your sets outside the gym to train your mind to go the extra mile.
