Cap gains tax is a hindrance to spending Bitcoin. But I think the bigger hindrance is the paper work behind tracking cost basis. I think most bitcoiners aren’t spending Bitcoin because the tax reporting can be cumbersome. Having the tax reporting easy and seamless through the exchanges is important.

The infighting with bitcoiners is too damn high.

I got into the beta for strike’s cost basis feature. It’s way better than I expected. Combine that with their lightning channel and they have the best regulated exchange on the market. I can now feel comfortable living on a bitcoin standard - that was the missing feature for me. I couldn’t find a third party coin tracking software that worked seamless for me. Good job @jack mallers and the team at @strike #bitcoinstandard
