Alright bitcoiners that still own stocks. I have an HSA. I own some WAGMI, some miners, some in cash, some in index funds. What should I put it in? I have a traditional IRA that’s 5% mstr and 8% miners, the rest is index funds My wife has a Roth IRA, what should she buy? Right not, she only has index funds. She tolerates my bitcoin stuff (we are breakeven but still paying off a heloc we used to get allocated 2 years ago… she won’t be super happy until that’s paid off). Anyway, what do you recommend, aside from transferring to bitcoin IRA’s? #bitcojn #stocks

Normally my wife cuts my hair (she learned how pre Covid to save money). But we are going on a trip and I wanted it cut before, not enough time for her to do it. Off to the barber, he’s been in business 17 years. He says that since Covid, 19 barbers have closed their doors just within out county, not counting chains like sports/great clips. The scissors he uses now cost $600, up from $450 pre Covid. Prices went up because less shops are there to buy them. And then remote workers (like me) not coming in as regularly as before. He had to take 25k from retirement to keep the shop open and it’s still not back to how it was 3 years ago, but he has scrimped and saved to try and get back on his track. We talked about #Bitcoin next, and what I thought. Haircut was $22, I paid 30, and offered to send him bitcoin too but he didn’t have his phone? Maybe next time. I’d guess he’s in his 50’s… probably has a smart phone. But at least left him with my podcast website on a card and hope he listens.

My “friend” to me on #Bitcoin My thoughts on what he said, and what I wish I could say back: I think you miss something a lot of the times because you are so willfully ignorant about it. It can come across as really naive and you shut down the convo because you lack intellectual curiosity. You don’t read macroeconomics well Everyone doesn’t care and they are worse off for it. Here’s something crazy… how many can say this? I got into #Bitcoin at my Dad and Sister’s suggestion. Both someone born in the 60’s and a woman, both pretty rare in the space. This was in 2017. I have since far surpassed their knowledge of the subject when it comes to custody, etc. But still, I’m pretty lucky. Without them, would have taken me longer
