Have not been very motivated these past couple of days. But today I decided to just doodle something and not care how good or bad it is to break my slump. Sometimes I feel like I put too much pressure on myself which destroys my motivation to do anything. This is a vineyard. image #dailypainting #artstr #sketchstr #art #sketch
I have 2 zines now and already have an idea for a third! I want to print evveeerrryything image #zine #artstr #art #grownostr #print

Comic Study Day 4. Hellboy Volume 2 Hellboy is just amazing. Amazing storytelling, amazing graphics. Everything is just so CLEAR. You can take any page out of context and you have an idea what is going on. Everything seems very deliberate. (My page proportions are off, but it was close enough for me) In my study of this page I noticed something. Do you know what the golden ratio/spiral is? James Brauseau uses it ALOT. It's awesome. He uses the golden ratio within the golden ratio within the golden ratio. Golden Ratio inception. I didn't realize you could do that! Here's a dumbed down explanation of what it is. It's pretty much a cheat sheet on how to make your drawing/artwork/photo look interesting. There are different variations of it. It can be as simple as the rule of thirds: You divide up equally the frame/paper/canvas into 3 both horizontally and vertically and then put the interesting stuff where the lines intersect. This is not the exact measurements but it's good enough. image To literally calculating the dimensions of the paper using a special formula "the golden ratio occurs when you divide a line segment into two smaller segments of different lengths for which the ratio of the whole line segment to the longer segment is equal to the ratio of the longer segment to the shorter segment." The ratio is 1 to 1.618 image Did you ever think art has math? Of course it does! Because nature has it. And if you want to draw a nice flower or a landscape or even a human body you have to understand what is going on to some degree. Here is an article explaining it better than I can: How many Golden Spirals can you find in the other page? #dailydrawing #comicstr #comic #study
GM how many lines do you need to define a face? Did some observational drawing. #dailydrawing #artstr #sketchstr #art #sketch image
Guuuyyss I don't know what came over me. I ended up making the stickers for reals. I call them my grumpy stickers ๐Ÿ˜„ image Everything is cut out by hand. Just for the heck of it. To spice up your chats and if you are on Signal I also made a digital sticker pack you can get here #sticker #stickers #signal #emoji #handmade
Working on putting together a zine of some of my favorite #dailydrawing sketches. There were so many, but I narrowed it down to 16 pages ๐Ÿ˜‚ #zine #sketch #artstr #art image
