GM not only are sunflowers pretty, they are very useful! image Sunflowers are originally from North America and have been cultivated for over 4,500 years. This is partly because the entirety of the sunflower plant is edible, so the leaves, stalks, and roots could all be used as food. In fact, sunflowers were grown as food in North America before other crops such as corn became commonplace. In addition, sunflowers were milled to create flour, and their seeds were roasted and eaten. As is still the case today, sunflower oil was used in cooking. The oil and pigments could also be used for various cosmetic applications such as dyes, and the stalk could be used in construction. Source #dailydawing #artstr #bloomstr #flowerstr
GM Messed up on some sunflowers so I'm using this page to brainstorm for my next Zine. I'm just doodling things I miss from the 90s. What do you miss from the 90s? image #dailydrawing #sketchstr #artstr
So plants are pretty clear when they are dangerous. If it looks pointy and uninviting DO NOT EAT IT. Pretty simple. image The plant is called Mexican poppy (scientific name Argemone mexicana) because it is native to Mexico and belongs to the poppy family (Papaveraceae), characterized by its bright yellow flowers and latex-producing stems. Highly Poisonous: All parts of the plant, especially the seeds, contain toxic alkaloids like sanguinarine and dihydrosanguinarine. #dailydrawing #artstr #flowerstr #bloomstr
Saw 2 rabbits! They just kinda stared at us and then hopped away. image #dailydrawing #artstr #rabbit #bunny #art Fun fact Rabbits have nearly 360-degree panoramic vision due to eyes on the sides of their heads, with only a small blind spot directly in front of their nose.
GM testing out Wisp. I dig it. Tried to draw a horse. I didn't have the right colors but I think it turned out OK. image #dailydrawing #artstr #horse
A rhino being a rhino. image #dailydrawing #funfact #rhino #artstr The origin of the name "white rhinoceros" is historically debated, with the most popular theory being a mistranslation from the Dutch or Afrikaans word "wijd" (meaning "wide"), referring to the animal's distinctive square, wide mouth used for grazing. I will stick with it. Don't care if its discredited.
Saw some love birds and the local bushel store. It looked exactly like that one viral video where one bird was dancing on an uninterested bird ๐Ÿ˜… What are these birds actually called? image #dailydrawing #artstr #birdtsr
