Bipcoiners could’ve literally just done nothing and had a better outcome (if their concerns were sincere). Ordinals was already dying out in popularity. Eth and sol and xrp are have won “defi” (which is now just tradfi) activity because bitcoin L2s have failed miserably. Bitcoin is clearly failing at every function except SoV and money right now. Anti-spammers *already* have available any shitcoin they could possibly want on the planet. But no, they had to have the one with their name on it, the one with maximum bitcoin affinity scam potential, like all the bcashers, bsvers etc.

The “spam is bad for bitcoin” arguments land at about a 2/10 (10 being compelling) for me. Always open to more data on this and will change my mind/ stop using bitcoin for art if it comes to it. I am even willing to migrate to eth for this stuff.* And I can see how reasonable people fall into the 5-10/10 camp, many or all of core is actually here, and so they naturally will want to reduce it. I can see how it’s reasonable to change your client default settings, not bitcoin, to influence people to keep data out of the utxo set, which is where “real” (imo inconsequential, but clearly harder to prune) bloat lives. Reasonable. Where I stop is changing bitcoin to accommodate 10/10ers, in a way that doesn’t solve the “problem”, and leans heavily on pure gaslight marketing. I still respect them as human beings, but not as strategists, and I now question their sincerity from the start. *Why don’t I? It’s by default a weaker software for art because the tokenomics will break at some point meaning the medium will die eventually and most of their storage is ipfs and not permanent to begin with.

All these other countries claiming the US is evil because we plan to get out of debt through a huge bitcoin trade or farming out dollar tokens on eth— you could get ahead of it by buying fucking bitcoin so unless you do that, stfu GN

i don't understand how the gen z and gen alpha rage against the fiat economy, i mean real, blinding rage, hasn't manifested in them abandoning dollars and jumping into bitcoin. seems to be the exact opposite in many cases, politically siding with banks to kill bitcoin. baffling. i am but a mere elder millenial though with outdated thoughts and bad taste in everything that still posts things on the internet as though they might be considered relevant by anyone.
