Leave them in the ground, let them flower (the flowers are beautiful and bees love them) and then let those flowers fade away and form seed pods. From your single radish, you'll get dozens of radish pods that are unbelievably delicious. (Probably more delicious than radishes.) We've got some great radish pod recipes in the comments and a guide to harvesting these bonus edibles." #gardening image

"According to Psychologists, there are four types of Intelligence: 1) Intelligence Quotient (IQ) 2) Emotional Quotient (EQ) 3) Social Quotient (SQ) 4) Adversity Quotient (AQ) 1. Intelligence Quotient (IQ): this is the measure of your level of comprehension. You need IQ to solve maths, memorize things, and recall lessons. 2. Emotional Quotient (EQ): this is the measure of your ability to maintain peace with others, keep to time, be responsible, be honest, respect boundaries, be humble, genuine and considerate. 3. Social Quotient (SQ): this is the measure of your ability to build a network of friends and maintain it over a long period of time. People that have higher EQ and SQ tend to go further in life than those with a high IQ but low EQ and SQ. Most schools capitalize on improving IQ levels while EQ and SQ are played down. A man of high IQ can end up being employed by a man of high EQ and SQ even though he has an average IQ. Your EQ represents your Character, while your SQ represents your Charisma. Give in to habits that will improve these three Qs, especially your EQ and SQ. Now there is a 4th one, a new paradigm: 4. The Adversity Quotient (AQ): The measure of your ability to go through a rough patch in life, and come out of it without losing your mind. When faced with troubles, AQ determines who will give up, who will abandon their family, and who will consider suicide. Parents please expose your children to other areas of life than just Academics. They should adore manual labour (never use work as a form of punishment), Sports and Arts. Develop their IQ, as well as their EQ, SQ and AQ. They should become multifaceted human beings able to do things independently of their parents. Finally, do not prepare the road for your children. Prepare your children for the road." image

"As you get older, you start to realize that life isn’t so much about where you stand in the world, it’s about where you stand within yourself. In younger years, you may have chased validation, measured success by external approval, or worried about fitting into certain spaces. But with time, you learn that true fulfillment doesn’t come from how others see you; it comes from how you see yourself. Your peace, confidence, and happiness aren’t tied to opinions or expectations. They are rooted in self-acceptance, in knowing who you are beyond titles, achievements, and social perceptions. The real journey is not about proving yourself to the world but about feeling at home within yourself. It’s about waking up each day and being content with the person you’re becoming, regardless of outside noise. When you stop seeking permission to be yourself and start embracing your own worth, life feels lighter. You no longer shape your identity based on how people view you but on how you truly feel about yourself. And that shift, from external validation to inner fulfillmentis where true freedom begins." “The sound of the sea, the curve of a horizon, wind in leaves, the cry of a bird leave manifold impression in us. And suddenly, without our wishing it at all, one of these memories spills from us and finds expression in musical language... I want to sing my interior landscape with the simple artlessness of a child.” –Claude Debussy Photo by Patrick Lichfield image

“One of the most beautiful gifts in the world is the gift of encouragement. When someone encourages you, that person helps you over a threshold you might otherwise never have crossed on your own. There are times of great uncertainty in every life. Left alone at such a time, you feel dishevelment and confusion like gravity. When a friend comes with words of encouragement, a light and lightness visit you and you begin to find the stairs and the door out of the dark. The sense of encouragement you feel from the friend is not simply her words or gestures; it is rather her whole presence enfolding you and helping you find the concealed door. The encouraging presence manages to understand you and put herself in your shoes. There is no judgment but words of relief and release.” ~ John O’Donohue Art: Martina Grasso image
