once referred to as βthe sweetest bitcoin bro youβll ever meet.β Only my son is allowed to call me a pond nugget.
I have no idea what Stratum V2 is and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.
Sound familiar? π That was me not that long ago. But now it's not me and it doesn't have to be you because I made this pocket guide about Stratum V2!
It's a short 8 page zine that you can print at home and share with your friends. Just print the double sided PDF, cut, and fold!
It's perfect for anyone that wants a quick overview of the project, including a brief history and timeline.
You can find this and more of my zines at:

Saw a crane fly over our house and found a robinβs nest in one of our trees. Spring is magic β¨
Iβve got a new zine to release on Stratum V2, but before I do, Iβm going to share some fun facts I learned along the way!
Hereβs the first: We usually associate Stratum with mining, but it was initially developed for wallet software (Electrum to be specific). Itβs still used today by Electrum servers and clients.
Come back tomorrow for another fun fact about Stratum π€
From 1996. Inflation gonna inflate.

In July 2019 there was a block that tried to mine more bitcoin into existence than allowed. It was rejected by the network! [7/7]

The coinbase is a special transaction in every block that releases new bitcoin into the total supply. [6/7]

Along the way a bug was discovered in the code that would cause the issuance schedule to restart once the block subsidy reached zero. BIP 42 fixed this in 2014! [5/7]
