Love the new updates, but #Amethyst 1.06.3 crashes more than anything else on my phone. And like the early days, when it crashes, it doesn’t save the draft.
Looking forward to the next release.

Finally got around to watching Breaking Bad. I get it now. On the final episode. There's no way I’m sleeping until it’s over.
I’ve talked in depth about privacy and security for years—here, with clients and organizations, elsewhere online, and on my website.
But sometimes it helps to just watch a demonstration of this basic understanding.
Your WiFi Can See You. Here's How.
YT
Wi-Fi doesn’t just connect devices.
It fills a space with radio.
Those signals bounce off walls, furniture… and you.
That means your network isn’t only carrying data.
It’s sensing the space around you.
Movement changes the signal.
Presence changes the signal.
Your body changes the signal.
That data is analyzed to detect motion, track occupancy, and understand the space.
No camera required.
This isn’t theoretical.
Many already-deployed Xfinity gateways are compatible with “WiFi Motion”—an opt-in feature that uses existing devices to detect activity in a home.
And that’s the shallow end.
Wi-Fi sensing is not just motion detection.
The same signals can detect presence, count people, infer location, reconstruct body pose, and model the space itself.
RF systems already track objects.
RFID tags track movement.
Wi-Fi reflections track presence.
Radio itself becomes situational awareness.
So the real question isn’t “am I being recorded?”
It’s: what signals already surround me?
Because the environment doesn’t need eyes.
It already has radio.
That doesn’t mean “never use Wi-Fi.”
It means understand the trade-offs.
Wired when possible.
Disable radios when not needed.
Reduce what’s always broadcasting.
And remember your threat model.
If convenience wins—family, guests, smart devices—
that’s a conscious choice, not invisibility.
Total invisibility is a lie.
Privacy is about understanding the layers.
Good OPSEC is about understanding your environment.
Sometimes the thing mapping a space…
is the signal filling it.

If You Don't Carry Appendix, You Must Be Fat and Untrained?
"If you don’t carry appendix, does that mean you’re doing it wrong?
In this video, I respond to a take that basically says if you’re not carrying appendix, the problem is you. And as someone who actually carries appendix almost all the time, I think that misses the point completely.
Yes, appendix carry has real advantages. It’s easier to conceal, it gives you strong control over the firearm, and for a lot of people it can be faster on the draw. That part is true.
But that doesn’t automatically make every other carry position wrong.
The part a lot of people ignore is the tradeoff. When you carry appendix, you’re also accepting a level of risk that some people simply aren’t comfortable with. That doesn’t mean they’re untrained. It doesn’t mean they’re scared. It means they’ve thought through the risk and made a different decision.
I talk about the difference between appendix carry and 3 o’clock carry, why reholstering matters so much, and why this conversation should be less about ego and more about honest risk assessment. Because carrying a firearm is personal, and the worst thing you can do is carry in a way you don’t fully trust.
If you’ve ever thought about appendix carry safety, debated AIWB vs strong side carry, or tried to figure out the best way to carry for your body type, comfort level, and confidence, this video is for you.
At the end of the day, carry how you’re confident. Understand the tradeoffs. And make that decision for yourself."
