Today, I'm bearish on the entire bitcoin space (for the first time ever) Bitcoin is fine, nothing changed, but it seems I attributed a lot more intelligence to the leaders in this space than they deserve. "Leaders?" you may ask. Yes, there are no leaders in bitcoin, but there are in the Bitcoin Space, and I gave them way more credit than they deserve. Don't get fooled by fancy marketing friends. Keep your bullshit detectors fine-tuned and don't delude yourself with wishful thinking.

Testing Plebstr after update. Was broken when I 1st tried, now ok. UI feels good and clean generally. Dark mode available. Zap settings are great, allows setting of default LN wallet. I'll keep an eye on future updates for sure

If merchants could easily sell bitcoin over the counter for cash, it would - add new revenue stream (small commission for sale) - bring new customers who want to buy bitcoin - incentivize merchant to accept bitcoin for goods & services (replenishing bitcoin stock) - offer kyc-free bitcoin to customers - make bitcoin more easily accessible in more areas Anything else?

Looking at the Lightning addresses of folks on nostr, it seems the preference is for closed source lightning wallets. Why?
