I'll be totally honest, I don't have much to contribute here. I'm not a coder, a builder, or an entrepreneur. I'm certainly no leader. I don't have a newsletter or service to shill. I don't have any unique insights into politics, economics, Bitcoin, or Nostr that hasn't already been repeated as nauseum. I'm just a guy who stumbled into all of this and was made a better person through the process. Nostr is for builders, it it's also lurkers to plug directly into the signal, to help us stay humble.

Why are people so quick to mock an enemy based on appearance or other, adjacent trait that is beyond their control? If that's your go-to attack vector, you might want to reassess. Attack their values, their integrity, their actions, their intent, or their judgment instead. Attacking things beyond their control is attacking what it means to be human. No one wants to be 80 years old. Or to be unattractive, or have a physical characteristic that draws attention or is insufficient in some way. What purpose is served by pointing these things out that are beyond someone's ability to change?

One of the worst feelings is deciding to be better prepared for catastrophic risk, and then realizing just how long it's going to take to correct that.

There is a vast number of quality PDFs available online, for free. Compiling a small library of downloaded PDFs regarding things you might need to Google is not a terrible idea. My collection includes: Automotive maintenance Firearm maintenance First aid and wound care Human anatomy and biomechanics Medicinal herbs identification Foraging guides Hunting guides Farming principles and best practices Preserving food I have access to knowledge that otherwise would rely on someone else's server, and even a functioning grid. Will I ever need it? Probably not. Hopefully not. But it's a minor time and effort expenditure to hedge risk. Decentralize what you can.

Some days I wonder if there are any elites out there that see Bitcoin and Nostr coming to eat their lunch. Probably not. Most of these people likely drink their own kool-aid and think they are good guys. And also something something we're so early. But it's fun to think about some of them losing sleep.
