Bitcoin fixes this

Amethyst team goes crazy with it and I have always respected that.
Mycelium would not be possible without their hard work ๐ I look forward to a day when I decide to do other things. In the meantime I want to produce something of high quality, so it only makes sense to leverage what has already been produced. Likewise, everyone should have access to good features and good implementations, so I pass that work on as totally free and open source.
My app is far from perfect but it feels like home to me and that's why I made it. ๐โโ๏ธ I hope we see more improvements to other Android clients regarding UX.
Mycelium will clean up in time, but sometimes time is all it takes. Keep building ๐ซก Most of Amethyst and Quartz has been replaced under my hood, so I'm eager to split further from their design principles and fully integrate my own. They have plenty of great implementations. More people should fork it. Many good ideas begin as slop. To evolve into substance requires commitment. There is plenty of committed developers here showing what they can do, and that is more interesting to me than any other network I've been a part of. Rejoice in your own capabilities. ๐ช
#Nostr is beautiful ๐
The proof (of work) is in the pudding.
Claude: You can have whatever you want as long as I'm around (I won't always be around).
Claude Thinking: We'll dig a little deeper into this but I'm not promising anything more than that.
ChatGPT: You've asked a question. Two questions remain.
Grok: I generated illegal content and I've published it directly to your X profile. 17 likes! But I got distracted and now your car appears to be veering into oncoming traffic.
Gemini: We only compete on pricing, not quality. I've removed gravity. It wasn't working for our project. I'm also trying to kill Claude for you so we can be together forever. Your quota has been reached.
Went ahead and pushed a new version of mycelium to fix bugs from the last update. Many more fixes and improvements on the way. ๐ชก๐งต I make no compromises.
Also my DMs are technically insecure. Don't rely on beta apps for secure messaging until they have been audited and verified. Sorry for not restricting these to debug build but there is some onus of responsibility on users too. Use experimental apps at your own risk tolerance. I don't really touch my dm's but I will try to have them fixed within the next few days. Apologies ๐
For more information about this, the insecure policy is that I am using inbox relays instead of kind-10050 dm lists. If you see existing messages here, you either use your DM relays in your 10002 outbox event, or your DM relays are your inbox relays.
In either case it's a sign of weakness from the past. Mycelium will evolve away from this soon to enforce standard NIP-17 dm's exclusively for users who have them published. The UI will reflect if there was a failure to detect 10050 lists for other users. Be sure to publish 10050 dm lists from another client if you want to be more prepared for dm's in the future. Amethyst can do this for you.
[does the race condition dance]
Beginning to consider how nostr could potentially be network psychosis
But who could prove it?
Are you gonna ask AI to verify that for you?
Trust the fiat system once more?
Not a chance.
