It was our mind(s) that decided for a dream-state (or more correctly put, nightmare-state) of illusion, populated by a world of separate, individual selves and seemingly cut off from Source. Happily, we can choose once again (with our mind) to return to our original state, and that is oneness, wholeness, and perfect love.

God’s (or whatever substitute you wish - Source, Infinite Being, etc) voice calling you to return home is silenced by your belief in separation and specialness. Still your mind for an instant, go within, and His gentle and loving voice will return to your awareness.
what many people think is the “devil” is just the mind’s belief in the separation from our Source, which can be fearful.
Hell is literally what we seem to experience now as separated bodies in a physical world, seemingly cut off from our Source. Heaven is an awareness of our eternal reality, oneness with our Source and everything made whole, eternal, and perfect.
