as a young man two decades ago, i began the search for significance & meaning in my life outside myself, pursuing everything with ferocity in everything from podium finishes in marathons & ultramarathons, writing novels, relationships, booze, and hobbies. But all the achievements and pursuits, noble or not, failed to satisfy. I finally realized i would never feel satisfied with anything external to me. a little over five years ago i began a search for significance and meaning inside myself, calling on my inner teacher, and pursuing truth and true peace. This search within myself is the real search, the real experience, the real journey we must all undertake, whether in this life or a thousand lifetimes from now. This inner peace obtained from the journey within gives me unspeakable happiness and joy. i found the significance and meaning i was looking for, but in the last place i had expected to find it as a young man. #spirituality #innerpeace #mindfulness #joy #happiness

You can choose to exchange guilt for joy, viciousness for love, and pain for peace.

You do not belong in time. Your place is only in eternity, where you were placed forever.

to remove the power of one illusion to affect us negates all illusions.

seeing shared instead of separate interests, the sameness of minds and not the difference of bodies, directly leads to remembering the truth of our one Self.

attacking others and demanding from others to satisfy our needs makes us miserable.

we are steadfastly devoted to misery. we must learn happiness is what we really want.

suicide is the greatest epidemic on planet earth and its not even close. do your part to help your friends and loved ones not become victim and another statistic. check in on those struggling, calling out for love. you may be the phone call or conversation they need to pull out and reestablish meaning. Get to it.
