next time you feel like accusing someone of doing something that offends or insults you, ask yourself, would i accuse myself of this? see only the guiltless in the other person, and you will see yourself as guiltless. Do this and slowly watch your fear and resistance melt away.

The only way to have peace is to teach peace (extend peace to others; see peace in others).

only our own sense of guilt can make us angry. when there is no longer guilt, there is only joy.

Teach only love, for that is what you are.

as a young man two decades ago, i began the search for significance & meaning in my life outside myself, pursuing everything with ferocity in everything from podium finishes in marathons & ultramarathons, writing novels, relationships, booze, and hobbies. But all the achievements and pursuits, noble or not, failed to satisfy. I finally realized i would never feel satisfied with anything external to me. a little over five years ago i began a search for significance and meaning inside myself, calling on my inner teacher, and pursuing truth and true peace. This search within myself is the real search, the real experience, the real journey we must all undertake, whether in this life or a thousand lifetimes from now.
