If we judgmentally experience sin and evil in others, we have withheld love and put them there in its place.

“Where there is no love, put love and you will find love.” - St. John of the Cross, 16th century Carmelite mystic and poet
Everything is seen as an expression of love or a call for it.
we need to look with open eyes at the ego’s thought system of guilt and attack. Only then can we learn that we are looking at nothing, the defense against the love that is everything. Darkness in and of itself has no substance, but exists solely because of our mind’s belief.
We realize there is but one problem. Our problem is not the terrible things that people do, nor what we think we have done, but simply that our minds decided that guilt was preferable to love.
Looking at the ego without judgment remains the ultimate means of salvation, for it alone reminds the mind that the guilt it has chosen and judged against is not real.
Choose shared instead of separate interests; “together, or not at all” in place of “one or the other.”
we hide our guilt in the body, seeking sin and evil outside & finding fault with others; by seeing problems in the world we do not have to see them in the mind.
to heal, we have to look at guilt we have projected as undesirable, and then reject it.
if we look at the ego thought system our problems would disappear. Within our right minds, our problems would disappear, and we do not want to be without the victimization tales that protect our self. the ego convinces us to search for truth in the specialness (of bodies, in special love/hate relationships) where it cannot be found.
You will learn what you are from what you have projected onto others and therefore believe they are.
