I think you could make bolt11 invoices work with negative amounts. It would require only a small change in how channel updates are negotiated (in the opposite direction).
The result would be something like LNURL-withdraw but without the need of any additional software.

Looking for testers of this new Cashu feature that isn't merged yet: ecash backup and restore with a seed phrase. This is only implemented in Nutshell (command line interface) for now but will probably be in every Cashu wallet.
This is one of those features that needs proper testing before you merge it because you kind of lock into it once you activate.
So I'm looking for reckless and techy testers who aren't afraid of using the command line, installing cashu from source and trying things on our Testnut mint.
Here is the PR with a description of what to do to backup and restore tokens from a seed phrase. See the main repo's readme on how to clone and install cashu (using poetry). Please let me know if you try ig and send bug reports!
Any help is hugely appreciated 🫡

Is it officially recognized that you can get PTSD from managing a Lightning node?

Otherwise it looks like the NIP-04 metadata problem is not going to fixed anytime soon. It probably needs to hurt before it can heal.

Noob question:
SIGHASH_ALL with inputs from different addresses. Who needs to sign the outputs? The owner of the first input? Everyone?
Or: how does even a coinjoin work!!!
Devs: If you need an environment for testing your Lightning software, check out the LNbits regtest environment by DNI.
It has Bitcoin Core, CLN, LND, Eclair, Boltz, opens channels between those, and more stuff to be added in the future.

I love when you explain a super complicated algorithm or process to non-technical folks and you can watch their attention drift away and then you end the monologue with "but all this is hidden from the user and they don't notice any of it" and suddenly everyone is awake again.
