🔥 Release: electronwall 0.5 electronwall is a tiny firewall for LND that allows or denies channel openings and payment routings. electronwall uses filter lists that either allow (allowlist) or reject (denylist) events from a list of node public keys for channel openings, or channel IDs and channel pairs for payment routings. You can also write custom rules using a builtin Javascript engine.

A Cashu gateway is a Cashu user who uses their own Lightning node to offer anonymous services for anyone on the same mint. You give me ecash and I make a Lightning payment for you. Everything is atomic. Nobody needs to know this ever happened. Cypherpunk cryptoanarchy is now.

You're gonna say I sound like a crazy person but your non-custodial Lightning wallet on your phone could be a Cashu gateway that announces itself on nostr and pockets a fee for the service. If you're willing to hold a custodial balance from an ecash mint.

Here is a tip if you don't like Lightning: use on-chain.

Happy halving! Block 840000 had over 37 BTC in fees with a block subsidy of only 3.125 BTC. The minimum fee was a tiny 100 sat/vByte, the highest bid fee was 3.6M sats/vByte. This transaction alone paid 6.73 BTC in fees. An unnecessary waste of a lot of money. Onward 🫡

I've increased my Lightning node's fees to 10000 ppm because I'm not going to route any HTLCs during the insane congestion everyone is expecting and risk having to pay for force closes. Nope, I'm going to stay put.

Congratulations to all Australian Bitcoiners for reaching the halving before everyone else.
