After Kipchoge’s dream of winning a third consecutive Olympic marathon title was shattered, he asked a reporter:
“Do you think I’m a loser because I didn’t win? A loser is someone who doesn’t even try. I tried to win — it just wasn’t my day. That’s the true spirit of sport.
You must understand that if we all live positively, we can go very far.”
