The best thing to do if you have a deadly viral outbreak isolated on a ship in the middle of the ocean is to take the people off that ship and distribute them across continents around the world.

There’s a lot of angst in the space lately about different kinds of Bitcoiners coming in for different reasons. The people who started building cathedrals, never sat in them. Those masses were filled with people they never met, who knew their grandchildren as ancient village elders. If bitcoin is to be the global reserve currency, or even to be meaningfully widespread, than it is for everyone you know, everyone you don’t know, everyone you like and hate, and everyone not yet born. Your choice is to accept that, or to walk away and be a hermit, because it is what is going to happen.
