Idk why everybody seems to be celebrating a cleared mempool. I love cheap transactions, but this is Bitcoin's security budget. We need tx fees to pay miners to keep up the hashrate.

My understanding is that a cashu mint can rug a user much like any other custodial wallet. Is there a way to somehow "join" cashu mints so that not one but two cashu mints must collaborate to rug you? Kind of like a multi-sig? #asknostr #ecash #cashu

I see everybody saying to delete your accounts on other social media. I have another tactic. I just mass-edited 5+ years of my #reddit comment history and told people to use nostr instead. Worse SEO for reddit, and any content they benefited from now works against them. Poison the well. Want to do the same? So we're trying to solve this problem of having non-custodial lightning. We want to be able to zap people. Phones can run lightning nodes, but they aren't up all the time. So we've got HODL invoices (Zeus), people mostly using custodial solutions, and now ecash etc which is better custodial but still custodial. Excuse my ignorance, but what if we just idk.. waited? For them to come back online? I mean.. ahem.. had a "low time preference". You could have a bunch of "pending outgoing" zaps and your nostr client occasionally retries the transaction, and if they don't go through after x days, they get cancelled. It incentivizes people to open their wallet occasionally to receive pending zaps. How is this solution not workable or preferable to custodial ones? #asknostr #bitcoin #lightning
