The new BCH Merchant Bounty Program community space is officially live. This dedicated forum was created to centralize all discussions, tips, and questions regarding real-world Bitcoin Cash merchant verification. Moving to this specialized group keeps all vital information, success stories, and audit guidelines organized in one easy-to-find location rather than scattered across the main feed. The complete official rules are now posted inside the space, detailing exactly how to participate as a Field Auditor and earn a 1 BCH bounty per verified physical merchant visit. These guidelines cover the first-to-audit rules, instructions for capturing continuous video proof of payment attempts, requirements for BCHNostr reviews, and steps for onboarding unlisted merchants via Paytaca and BCHLocal. Please note that this is purely a voluntary-based program for BCH enthusiasts and is not officially affiliated with BCHNostr. Head over to the new space today to read the full requirements, introduce yourself, and connect with other shoppers. Grab a smartphone, load up a BCH wallet, and jump into the new community to help verify the real-world Bitcoin Cash economy. image
Attention Secret Shoppers! Based on valuable community feedback, I am updating the requirements for the 1 BCH job posting bounty. Thank you to those who pointed out that requiring merchants to sign up for BCHPAY.Cash in order to be listed on BCHLocal.com created unnecessary friction. Since the main goal of this initiative is to test existing payment setups, I agree that the BCHPAY.Cash signup should no longer be a blocker. Moving forward, the requirements to claim the 1 BCH bounty have been adjusted: Removed Requirement: Merchants already listed on Paytaca Maps are no longer required to sign up for BCHLocal.com and BCHPAY.Cash for you to earn the bounty. New Conditional Requirements: If your purchase transaction fails, you must have the merchant sign up for BCHPay.Cash and complete the BCHLocal.com verification process to receive the 1 BCH. If the merchant is not listed on Paytaca Maps, you must also have them complete the verification process on BCHPay.Cash and BCHLocal.com to receive the 1 BCH. If the transaction is successful and they are already on Paytaca Maps, you are good to go! Thank you for your continued efforts in testing the network and helping us improve the daily payment experience for everyone. Happy shopping! View quoted note →

HamphernyR has been doing incredible ground-level work driving Bitcoin Cash (BCH) adoption in Venezuela. In an economy heavily impacted by hyperinflation, he is helping local merchants and families use BCH as a practical, low-fee currency for daily transactions. While some view cryptocurrency purely for speculation, HamphernyR focuses on utility. Bitcoin Cash provides a fast, cheap, and reliable alternative to local currency (VES) and expensive traditional banking. A key part of HamphernyR's work is educational. He helps locals understand the history of peer-to-peer electronic cash, explaining the truths behind the block size war and how the original vision of Bitcoin was altered—a topic detailed in the book Hijacking Bitcoin. By sharing this history, he empowers Venezuelans to choose the best tool for financial freedom. Grassroots advocacy takes immense energy and dedication. Let’s show HamphernyR that the global community appreciates his hard work in Venezuela. Take a moment to drop a comment in HamphernyR's post welcoming him to BCHNostr and show your support! Bitcoin Cash (BCH) intentionally does not have a separate whitepaper. Its community believes Satoshi's original document already perfectly describes their vision, which is why they retain it. For the actual tech specs and upgrades: For more general information: Try sending some Bitcoin Cash to a friend today! The instant, near-zero fees make it incredibly fun to use and perfectly capture the vision of simple, borderless money. View quoted note →
