Popped these bad boys in before heading to work. Will hopefully be coming home to some delicious truffle salt sweet potato chips 🤤 They’re super thin, so I think they’ll curl a bunch. I didn’t have time to blanch them first, and I did use a lil oil to get that salt to stick. #blogstr #food #foodstr

Beetroot spice mix…earthy and delicious. Shocked how well this turned out for first attempt. I told the wife if it didn’t turn out I’d give to her for some natural dye (she’s fiber artist), but lucky for me and unlucky for her, it is fucking tassssty! I had big bits left over that I turned into a sweet maple cinnamon beetsauce that I’ll be having for dessert tonight. (Reminding myself now to wear a black shirt while eating) These dehydrator experiments have been awesome. I’ve been dreaming of making my own umami/mushroom spice mix for over a decade, and it’s going to be coming to fruition very soon. Stay tuned! #blogstr #food #foodstr

It’s wild how quickly having instagram on my phone can have me feeling like a poor, stupid, talentless, ugly, piece of trash. After not being on for months, my wife asked me to jump on to check her post a few days ago. After, I kept it on phone and found myself getting sucked into a steady scroll a few times. Just deleted it this morning after finding myself on that bullshit again. Whew! I’m not sure if this is a me problem or a social media problem, but I know my mental health is better without it. The ironic part, is I don’t even post on instagram, and here I am on Nostr…posting regularly! #blogstr
