Perhaps digital IDs and digital money were inevitable in a digitized world but inevitability isn’t the issue; the real question is, who controls them? Who holds the keys? Who decides if you get access? If the state controls them, your freedom becomes a permission slip. One path is permissioned and one is permissionless. Government-issued digital IDs, tying your existence to a centralized database where your rights can be toggled like switches. That's the permissioned path. #Bitcoin is stateless money, open, neutral, permissionless. No gatekeepers, no arbitrary revocations, no “papers, please.” #Nostr grants you a stateless digital identity, secured by public/private keys, not bureaucrats or corporate overlords. Your identity, like your money, becomes yours alone, portable, uncensorable, sovereign. This is the permissionless path. The choice is yours.
