On April 19, 2024, the Bitcoin block subsidy issuance was cut in half from 6.25 BTC per block to 3.125 #BTC per block. This lowered Bitcoin’s inflation rate to 0.7% per year, which is lower than gold’s inflation of ~1.5% per year. #Bitcoin’s Halving issuance is anti-inflationary.

Some conflate what criminals use while committing fraud and crime with those literal items being fraud and crime.
