The arrest of Pavel Durov once again highlights how urgent the development of technology such as #nostr and Bitcoin. This whole situation makes me so sad. It’s a personal affront to watch the basic freedoms of anyone be stolen. Let along someone who stands up, in the face of great difficulties, to advocate for the privacy of others. Even if you don’t/ didn’t use Telegram - its existence & development has been an important part of the landscape of bringing privacy focused, cryptographically secure platforms to the world. All the steps on the path towards freedom matter. Everyone, in what ever way you can, should be protesting this. Buy some bitcoin, create contribute to open source technology, speak out. ✊🏽
