The Operators Through our exploration of meme warfare we will use a set of personas to reference to better understand how meme warfare tactics might be used for and against us. Personas are used to identify PSYOP operators as well as targets or recipients of the meme warfare tactics. PSYOP Operators plan and carry out psyops, and PSYOP targets are on the receiving end of the psyop. We call PSYOP Operators “The Operators” and this article is focuses on their personas. Before we get into the operators personas, we will first lay out why target personas are important in psychological operations and meme warfare. Personas are utilized in psyops to create targeted messages that resonate with specific targets or audiences. These fictional characters embody certain traits, beliefs, and values, allowing PSYOP teams to tailor memes effectively. By crafting memes around these personas, PSYOP operators are able to create more effective memes, that is memes which have a higher probability of propagation. Personas play a crucial role in developing effective psyop tactics by enabling PSYOP teams to better understand and connect with their target audience. Each persona for The Operators represents unique characteristics, motivations, and preferences, so different personas may employ distinct tactics to achieve their objectives. For instance, a persona representing an influential leader might leverage persuasion techniques and public appearances to sway opinions, whereas a persona portraying a grassroots activist could rely on social media campaigns and grassroots organizing to mobilize support. Ultimately, using personas helps PSYOP teams design tailored strategies that maximize their chances of success within diverse target groups. Through the lens of meme warfare and the battle for monetary supremacy, we’ve identified 5 personas for The Operators, each with unique traits, behaviors, and roles in psyops. https://orangelabel.co/the-operators/
