Okay, question... if I "report user", to whom am I reporting, exactly? #nostr is decentralized. Is this just sending an alert/flag to relays, and the relay operators can do as they wish? Which leads me to the next observation that relays will likely become a sort of subscription based filter to which users can subscribe. Tired of pr0n on nostr? There's a relay for that. Had enough of conspiracy theories? There's a relay for that. Interested in Muslim-only values? There's a relay for that. nostr is a bastion of free speech and very important safety valve for future society. But people inherently nest. They curate their environments to meet their goals and satisfy their psychological needs. nostr will be no different. And relays seem the likely vector for this to happen. I'm surely not the first to think of this. What's the current status of this idea?

Brought this book home the other day and it is DELIGHTFUL in every regard. If you have school-age children, this is a perfect bulwark against the stultifying state education. Regardless of your schooling, it's becoming painfully obvious that a solid grounding in grammar, logic, and rhetoric is a basic inoculation against the ills of modernity, especially those contracted from social media. The trivium is the fundamental toolset of clear thinking and effective speech.

Need some help from the #nostriches It's been brought to my attention that my nip-05 identity isn't actually working. So some may think I am not, in fact, me. I have a @Alby account and address, and it is properly loaded into all the nip-05 fields of the nostr clients I use. Mainly @primal and @Damus I believe I've isolated the cause: I have not entered my nostr Master Key into the account settings of my Alby account. Which (I think) means that alby can't "verify" my nip-05 identity. However, many wise nostriches have warned that one should avoid at all costs entering your nostr master key into any client software. This is what browser extensions should be doing for you instead, such as nos2x (which I use). But all the fields for entering your public key are disabled, and seem to be more of a display field that generates your public key after you have entered your private key, or Master Key. @Alby seems fairly trustworthy, but I've a physical aversion to entering my private key, let alone my recovery seed, into their platform as it feels akin to entering my bitcoin private keys into website. So what's the play here? Am I thinking about this wrong? Am I misunderstanding the nip-05 process?

Just discovered an account that posts literally every second. I thought it was a glitch when I tried scrolling it’s feed but couldn’t make any progress as the feed kept adjusting. It was literally just posting nonstop. Clearly a spam bot. Each posts contains a 5-8 word phrase (pointless and devoid of context) followed by about 15 hashtags. Utterly unrewarding to read. Seemingly no value. I have questions… Isn’t this spamming relays? There is some cost to data storage that relays incur, yes? Over time this cost adds up. In a decentralized and user driven relay network this is an attack on relays, no? Also, why? What’s the end game for this account? How does someone benefit from or capitalize on this behavior? Honest question.

I’ve finished recording another B-T-Sea Shanty. May be my best one yet. I’ve actually been sitting on it for at least four, maybe five years. It’s really the first one I ever wrote in a way. Just been carrying it with me, jangling around in my head. I’m all ready to release it… but I don’t want to. I don’t know why. Doesn’t feel right? What am I sensing here?
