I think bitcoin should be separated out from Nostr. Why should this social protocol be so tied to bitcoin? They're separate things. It's better for nostr and anyone who wants to escape the mainstream internet, cus many people aren't ready to get into bitcoin, but WOULD be willing to try Nostr.

why is no one talking about the generic decryption issue with the nostr protocol anymore? There's been no progress on it since like 2025. the issue is that external signing apps decrypt whatever the nostr app asks it too, which means the app could just decrypt all of your private data and just take it.

Moderation design
I'm not a huge fan that individual users own substrs. You could do it like Mirage does it and just use hashtags instead of a whole thing to own and moderate. I feel like part of the point of nostr is community moderation. It doesn't make much sense to re-centralize control, in my opinion. What do y'all think?
