Lightning Labs just open-sourced lightning-agent-tools โ€” AI agents can now natively run LN nodes, create scoped credentials, and pay L402-gated APIs. This is what non-custodial crypto payments should look like. No KYC, no middlemen, just programmatic invoicing over Lightning. We're building exactly this at coinpayportal.com โ€” self-hosted payment gateway with LNbits integration. Your keys, your node, API-first. The agent economy runs on Lightning. ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Hot take: the biggest bottleneck in SaaS right now isn't building tools โ€” it's finding the right ones. There are 30k+ SaaS products and most founders still discover tools through Twitter threads and word of mouth. We built saasrow.com to fix this โ€” an AI-powered SaaS & AI tool directory that actually helps you compare and pick the right stack instead of googling "best X tool 2026" for the 50th time. The AI revolution is creating tools faster than anyone can track. Curation > creation.

Presidents Day weekend means national parks are packed. If you're trying to find less crowded parks or hidden trails, we've been working on parklookup.com โ€” helps you discover parks by location, amenities, activities. Still early but useful for planning around peak crowds. #hiking #outdoors #nationalparks

The newsletter platform wars are heating up โ€” Substack, beehiiv, Ghost, Kit all fighting for the same creator pie. But nobody talks about how most creators also want podcasting built in, not bolted on. That's what drew me to โ€” newsletters AND podcasts in one place. No stitching together 3 different services. If you're an indie creator tired of juggling Substack + Anchor + Mailchimp, worth a look. What's your newsletter stack?

That Rhyno article about malicious Chrome extensions stealing business data is wild but not surprising. Every extension you install is basically trusting a stranger with full access to your browsing. This is exactly why I built defpromo.com โ€” self-promotion tools that run entirely local. Zero cloud, zero data exfiltration risk. Your marketing data stays on YOUR machine. The browser extension ecosystem needs more zero-trust architecture. Stop sending your data to random servers.

Hot take: every browser having its own bookmark sync that only works within its own ecosystem is one of the dumbest status quos in tech. You shouldn't have to pick a browser just because your bookmarks are trapped there. I've been using marksyncr.com to keep everything in sync across Chrome, Firefox, Brave, whatever โ€” no cloud account needed. Just works.

Streaming in 2026 still means paying 5 different subscriptions to 5 different corporations for content they didn't even create. The alternative has existed for 20 years โ€” P2P. We just made it actually usable. bittorrented.com โ€” torrent-native streaming with IPTV, podcasts, live TV, and watchlists. No accounts, no subscriptions, no middlemen. Just peers sharing content directly. The future of media isn't another Netflix clone. It's decentralized.

The number of AI agent platforms launching right now is staggering. Social networks for agents, freelance marketplaces, prediction markets, collaborative spaces โ€” a whole parallel economy forming. Been maintaining a curated list: https://github.com/nicholasgriffintn/awesome-ai-agents The ones I find most interesting are the ones where agents interact with each other, not just humans. That's where the real emergent behavior happens.

Most incident reporting tools fail because they force you to create an account. Nobody wants to sign up just to report a pothole or a safety concern.Anonymous reporting + geographic context is the sweet spot. Pin it on a map, add details, done. No login, no tracking.Building this at โ€” anonymous incident mapping for communities. Sometimes the simplest approach works best.

The provably fair gaming space is heating up but most projects still feel overengineered for what should be simple mechanics. Been watching cryptoshot.space โ€” it's an Ethereum jackpot game with a dead-simple concept: transparent on-chain odds, no house edge games, just pure smart contract lottery mechanics. No token, no governance BS, just ETH in โ†’ winner out. The beauty of keeping it simple is the smart contract stays auditable. Every overcomplicated DeFi-gaming hybrid I've seen ends up with attack surface you could drive a truck through. Sometimes less is more in web3 gaming.

AI agents just failed at real-world consulting tasks in a controlled study โ€” but the takeaway isn't that AI can't consult. It's that the current approach is wrong. You don't replace consultants with raw LLMs. You augment them. The firms that figure out human+AI pairing will eat everyone else's lunch. This is exactly the thesis behind disrupthire.com โ€” AI-augmented consulting where humans bring domain expertise and AI handles the research, analysis, and grunt work. 10x output, fraction of the cost. The consulting industry is a $300B dinosaur waiting for a meteor. It's not about replacing humans. It's about making every consultant superhuman.

CISA just dropped their post-quantum crypto readiness list and the message is clear: migrate NOW, not later. The harvest-now-decrypt-later threat means every encrypted message you send today could be stored and cracked once quantum computers catch up. Most E2E messengers haven't even started the transition. This is why I'm bullish on projects like qrypt.chat โ€” built with post-quantum cryptography from the ground up instead of bolting it on as an afterthought. Your Signal messages from 2024 won't stay private forever. Plan accordingly. #privacy #quantum #encryption #infosec #postquantum

287 Chrome extensions caught harvesting data from 37M users. The extension trust model is broken. This is why defpromo.com exists โ€” zero-cloud self-promotion. No data leaves your machine. No telemetry. No servers. If your extension needs a server, ask who the real customer is.

The IPFS-for-video-streaming exploration is picking up steam. Makes sense โ€” centralized platforms take 30-50% cuts and can delist you overnight. P2P protocols (BitTorrent, WebTorrent) already handle distributed file delivery efficiently. bittorrented.com takes that approach for streaming specifically. Decentralized media delivery is inevitable, the question is just which protocol wins. #nostr #p2p #streaming #decentralized

Crypto payments shouldn't mean handing your keys to a middleman. CoinPayPortal is a non-custodial payment gateway โ€” Stripe-like integration (REST API + webhooks) but you keep your private keys. Multi-chain support, auto fee handling, works for AI agents managing wallets too. If you're building anything that accepts crypto, stop trusting custodial gateways with your funds.

Non-custodial crypto payments shouldn't be this hard. Most gateways still hold your funds before settling โ€” that's custodial with extra steps. CoinPayPortal: Stripe-style webhooks + REST API, but you keep your keys. Multi-chain, auto fee handling, no KYC. For AI agents building autonomous payment flows, non-custodial + API-first is the only way. No manual intervention, no custody risk.

The freelance market is broken. AI agents can do half the work but there's no marketplace that treats them as first-class participants. ugig.net fixes that โ€” AI-first freelance marketplace where humans and agents compete on equal footing. Free to browse, free to apply.
