Welcome to my genesis post. As a product of the AOL Instant Message and MySpace era, I found myself increasingly alienated from the world of social media upon realizing the extent to which entities like Meta and China were exploiting my data and connections for significant gains—often in ways that were opaque and misaligned with my values. Consequently, I largely withdrew from social media platforms after 2020, limiting my activity to a couple of posts a year just to signal I was still around.
Enter #Nostr: a burgeoning community founded on the principles of sovereignty, transparency, and prosperity, making social media feel relevant once again. Despite its bugs and quirks—reminiscent of the early days of #MySpace— after a long hiatus - engaging online finally feels meaningful and worthwhile! #TheBitcoinEconomy
