Nostr’s ability to resist going down depends on the diversity and number of relays, of which aren’t very many right now. Incentives for paying relays, or making relays easier to self-host, would greatly increase its up-time and overall decentralization (at the network level). Everyone is focused on client diversity, when network decentralization solely hinges on relays.
