Just realized I can use a #ProxMox CT / VM to flail at trying to set up #i2p once again (try, make a mess, nuke the container, try again, fail again, etc). My first attempt a few months ago was a confusing mess and I gave up. Is it easier now? Any tips? #devops #techops

How much will I hate life if I opt to fly Spirit to El Salvador in order to save ~$350 vs flying United? I'm super-cheap but kinda think United is the way to go.

The first 121 copies of Stackchain Mag #2 included this incredible @Asanoha print! It's going to look AMAZING hanging next to my bitcoin memorabilia collection!

@KumaDawg has decided that her apple slice is more fun as a weird pair of dentures than as a treat to actually eat. image

Mariachi cover of "Sweet Child O' Mine" playing at LAX right now. Horns, violins. The whole enchilada. I can't decide if it's awesome in its own way or if I completely hate it. Kinda both, really.

A little shaky, a little rushed, but I haven't been upside down in about 5 months so I'll take it! #handstandstr #gymnastr

TFW Bitcoin Core code reviews are unexpectedly fun and carefree! Pieter Wuille busting out some super-nerd Bitcoiner `git` humor here. image --- Translation for non-nerds: `git rebase` is an oft-used command to sync your branch (copy) of the code to catch up with any recent changes your branch is missing.

I have two related goals for Pacific Bitcoin this week: 1. Meet @Lyn Alden and ask her to sign my copy of her book. 2. Give her a @SeedSigner to build*! image --- *(I also brought a Pi Zero with the headers already soldered on, but I assume that she's such a badass that she'll opt to solder it herself)

I lived in LA for 6yrs. You'd think that over time you'd start to take the beauty here for granted. Get used to it, stop noticing it. Nope. (at least not if you've spent most of the rest of your life dealing with Chicago winters) image

The easiest #bitcoin node setup I've tried so far is: * Debian 12 w/XFCE desktop gui * Umbrel image Debian installer is good. Simple enough for almost anyone. Only other task is to get Umbrel installed... in just TWO SIMPLE COMMANDS! * `apt install curl` * `curl -L https://umbrel.sh | bash` BUT THERE'S A "BUT"!! It's only this simple if I log in as `root`. The user that the setup creates doesn't have `sudo` access. Obv I can add the user to sudoers, but now we're getting deeper into linux and losing the total noob simplicity. I'm not a linux security expert. At all. Is it a "Nope, unacceptable!" to install and run the Umbrel docker containers as `root`?
