I hope you spend some time contemplating the great mysteries and wonders of life. Way more fascinating and inspiring than everyday stuff. ๐

I ate my first fig and no one showed up for our monthly Nostr/Bitcoin meetup. And those 2 things have nothing to do with each other )LOL
Dude the funniest thing is when a commercial for some big pharma pill says that side effects may include "lower limb loss". WTF LOL ๐๐๐คฃ๐คฃ

Enjoyyyyy

I set up my email list for my SciFi/Fantasy trilogy (publishes next year).
I plan on sending one email every 2-3 months leading up to publishing (containing exclusive lore, sneak peeks, and early reveals).

Just arrived at FAN EXPO Denver. I'll be checking out the SciFi/Fantasy publishers and authors etc.
Have you ever gone to see a man about a horse?
Any of you bigots use Substack regularly? I'm considering starting one.
Let's have some fun. Ask me some difficult "would you rather" questions. ๐ป
And consider answering some of the other comments. ๐ค

Enjoy your weekend, friends ๐
Hey don't fucking read this if you're just going to tell me to learn to code.......
Well, there goes another friend who couldn't get Nostr to work. More accurately, the Nostr "tech" failed him. Feels bad, man.
I've been using and promoting Nostr for 3+ years, hosting a local monthly Nostr meetup, and mentioning it constantly on my show. And I've never been paid to do so; I've done it all willingly.
But after my friend's very recent onboarding debacle, I feel that Nostr has been a total waste of my time, though fun sometimes, and gloriously philosophically sound.
Tomorrow I may feel better, but today I don't feel good.
And I know many of you would tell me to "hang in there", but my question is: Hang in there for what? More glitchy amateur apps that don't work all the time? Some magical day in the future when normies randomly flood this convoluted, buggy af platform and make all our struggles worth it? Hang in there for what? Tell me, realistically.
And Nostr hasn't just cost me time, effort, and reputation damage - it costs me money. Though I'm quick to admit: The fact that I receive so much less sats than I zap others, is because me and my content are not of any value. I can live with that fact. And I'm always happy to support others, especially artists and musicians.
I guess I'm just disappointed. Which, I admit, is 100% due to my own wrong expectations. But it's just SO HARD for me to expect SO LITTLE from Nostr, WHILE I'm promoting it, because its potential and possibilities are SO great.
Maybe someday I'll get my Nostr vigor back, but all I see now, unfortunately, is a big circle jerk of amateur apps with no hope of REAL improvement in sight.
And I bet you would have liked my latest friend to be defeated by Nostr's glitchy amateur tech. sigh
BTW, I'm not expecting you to care about any of this, so just go on with your day. Have a great one. And in the spirit of Nostr, GFY.
PS: If you're one of those retarded douche bags that want me to suggest SoLuTiOnS, which are already obvious to everyone of course, here you go: Nostr apps should just work all the time, and normal non-techy people should be able to sign up and use the apps and all their features with only a couple clicks/taps. That's it. And did I mention it should work all the time? FFS. But apparently, even with these new god-almighty AI coding apps, none of that is possible at this time. sigh
PS 2: If you're one of those retarded douche bags that thinks I'm just CoMpLaInInG, news flash for you: This is how progress is made - devs build shitty apps, people complain, devs fix their shitty apps, people complain, devs fix their shitty apps again, etc etc etc. With this post I'm actually helping the devs and Nostr in general. They won't like it, but it's the only way. They MUST build better apps. Or not.
