Watching this video reminded me of the incredible amount of ecosystem information about Linux that requires years to fully understand. Display server, GUI libraries, audio mixing, layers upon layers of abstraction. Stuff that largely doesn't exist in Windows.

I tried out most of the flavors of Ubuntu just to see where the world of desktop environments are at. KDE and XFCE win. I hope LXQT becomes the Qt version of XFCE but it still feels pretty rough around the edges for a plebian. It's a shame everything is GTK based. I dunno, I sometimes miss the exploration of windows managers but I've used i3wm for over 10 years and I just feel gimped using anything else. Zero room for aesthetics. Gaps are gay btw. Total GTK/GNOME Death

Only God Forgives is the most aesthetic movie ever and in retrospect it makes the Ryan Gosling "literally me" picture in CyberChud all the more fitting. Seriously its kinda the same art style of dark sets with monochromatic lighting. image
