What I like about Bitcoin is that it gives me trust.
I can trust that my money belongs to me.
I can trust that no one can block me from using it.
I can trust that no one can inflate it.
In a world full of deception, surveillance and manipulation trust is essential.

I understand people falling in love with AI. π Claude worked with me on my newest article and told me:

Actually itβs fantastic that the US government is not building a Bitcoin strategic reserve!
Itβs individuals who should do it first! Optimally in self-custody.

Stupidity can only be countered with humor. Every logical argument will fail.

Sure the boys are sticking together and supporting each other with money they steal from the peoples.
The authoritarian playbook.

Self-custody is truly a privilege, so everyone in a privileged position should do it instead of dreaming of number go up and justifying the rebuilding of the old financial system on top of Bitcoin.

Can confirm this. Especially people who are neutral or tending to left politics are really turned off because to them it seems that Bitcoin is a right wing project.
βMost people have either no opinion or a negative opinion of bitcoin because somebody tried to evangelize it too hard.β
Would be great to bring zaps to other protocols and more mainstream content to Nostr.

My comparison of Nostr and Bluesky goes on:
Verifying my username on Bluesky via my own domain was totally easy and straightforward by adding a TXT entry in the DNS panel. As long as one knows how to add a DNS entry.
The NIP-05 verification for Nostr is much more complex. You need different files, the HEX of your npub, put a folder in your public-html folder and add a htaccess file. The tutorials I found were all confusing to me. In the end I think I did it right or not?
Why is Amethyst showing this red icon?
How can I test my setup?

Using Nostr and Bluesky quite simultaneously I have been seeing that notifications and status updates are faster on Nostr!
Would be great if we could stop fighting about things that canβt be changed and build more privacy, focus on easy self-custody and decentralization and implement quantum resistant addresses.
