I think the PPQ guy’s argument for benefiting bitcoin is that he pays his employees in bitcoin, which he couldn’t afford if not for the people paying in shitcoins, and that he offers a service that can be paid for in bitcoin.

Between any two real numbers there are infinitely many rational numbers, so it’s not a matter of there being gaps. The difference between infinities might be too unintuitive to actually articulate well. It’s all about being able to define a 1:1 map. Love the number theory talk. If you haven’t already, you should look into space-filling curves. They’re a more visual way to think this kind of thing.
