So Bank of Canada just cut rates 50bps. Now down to 3.75%. They claim inflation is at 1.6% but we all know the truth. Canada is toast. They could drop rates to 0 and it would take years to fix the mess we're in. The Moosesheckle is trash since the current leadership destroyed our oil and gas industry. CAD is now at 0.722/1USD. As a trucker who crosses the border near daily we've seen over the past year it's fairly easy to get loads to the US but to get loads back to Canada (Canadian truckers can only deliver and return, they cannot do interstate loads in the US rightfully so) slim down dramatically. Why? Because Canada is broke. Canadians are broke. Anything imported from the US is instantly 40% more expensive (mossesheckle-wise than it should be) purely due to the weakening dollar. The dollar is weak because the demand for CAD dollars is non-existent. Our biggest industry and the only thing propping up the CAD is money laundering through corrupt banks and real estate. I don't even know if there's a solution here that won't take decades to fix.

I've been sat at home for two days now because somewhere in my truck is an electrical leak. We're talking about a class 8 Volvo VNL... And somewhere in the miles and miles of wiring is a leak. Now this might explain why my batteries (there are four 12V Type 31 batteries in a transport truck) were weakening. But what unwanted to do was install an ultra capacitor for the starter. That's a Lithium battery that is only used for the starting up of the 13L engine. These "batteries" are lighter (only weigh 18lbs) and have a lifespan of 1MM cycles and works in temps as low as -40. If we try to connect the ultracapacitor while the other three batteries are leaking voltage (0.5V to be precise) it could result in a very bad time ๐Ÿ’ฅ. So, yeah, trucking can be very technical in case you didn't know.

Imagine lining up in the rain for hours to collect some rejected potatoes being freely given out... That was the scene in Surrey, BC, Canada. The same province that just reelected the socialists responsible for their various crises that played that province along with Trudeau.

Yay! @Tuttle Twins TV is on NOSTR! And they're planning to stream the episodes. Could get real interesting with the zaps and splits with guests. This could be really groundbreaking.

One thing I LOVE about trucking is seeing the countryside and learning. Today, along Route 6 in Pennsylvania, I passed a history plaque marker for "Camptown Races"... You know, that old children's nursery rhyme/song? Well, that lead me down a rabbithoke to discover one is the most prolific songwriters of the American 19th century.

If you're not paying attention to what's going on with The Internet Archive, you're missing a BIG story. This is NOT good. Currently they are under DDOS and this is after they're being sued out of existence for digitizing 78rpm records that aren't even available anymore. They're facing a $600+MM lawsuit. They previously lost a suit during the 'demic when they released digitized books for free. The likelihood that they will end up shut down and entire histories of the net will be lost forever is high.
