Uncertainty was wrecking havoc on the markets. Some clarification has brought a semblance of stability. There are those getting absolutely rich off this shit... And then there's everyone else. Opt out.
There was a time when folk didn't call it a "100 mile diet" but just relied on their local producers. They didn't turn to multinational industrial farmers but grew their own food and/or knew their farmers in county. They hunted and fished or got their proteins locally. They knew what was in their feed, their soil, and their water. And, speaking of water, they sure as shit didn't buy it in a fucking plastic bottle!
Urbanization and globalization has made people soft. Hell, they can't even read a map but they're trained to take directions. Teach your children well is how the song goes.

New version but dropped the version number. Does it matter? Only if you have a bug to report. All content is original. All pics are mine unless noted.
American banks, like most American businesses, don't do business in Canada because it's hardly worth the cost and regulation. Canadian banks broke into the US primarily by buying over leveraged and failing assets post 2008 GFC. They also broke into South America from that opportunity. They were not, themselves, over leveraged because of some heavy regulations on Canada. The US is a freer market than Canada with 10x the population. That's 10x the customer base and 10x the growth potential. Why would an American operation even give a passing glance to Canadian taxes and regulations for a nation that possesses the same customer base as California with the GDP/capita equal to Alabama?
Note that US companies and, thus, their financiers do back cross border infrastructure projects, usually regarding energy. But, no, there is no Chase or BOA in Canada. All the credit cards are managed by American firms like Visa, MC, and Amex and that responsible for $2.5T of debt.
Lolz... CTV asking Trudeau, paraphrased, "like, seriously, when are you gonna leave?" and Trudeau responding, also paraphrased, "ehhhh... I don't know but we'll figure that out between the selected PM and myself."
I served up my son and breakfast of an open-face sandwich that included a smash burger, bacon, and fried egg with a glass of milk. The first thing he said to me "the CFG is so messed up". I'm all like "what's the CFG?" It's the "Canada Food Guide".
While I'm feeding him real protein and healthy fats (with a smidge of processed grains in the homebaked bread) the CFG is pushing "plant based proteins". Mostly highly processed crap.
If you add a suffix to your description like "ist" you lose my trust. That's the rule. It means you follow a doctrine and are constantly chasing or shading the latest hot thing within that school of thought. Can you think of one "ist" that doesn't mean to close one's mind?
Can one be a student and also profess? Can one be so deep in the fishbowl looking for answers which are often outside the tank? (Or inside Plato's allegorical cave, or de la Barca's Dream, or the Matrix - funny how themes have repeated for millennia).
Name me one "ist" that isn't.
The truth of all matters are way to complex for the emotional promises that politicians use to hit the undereducated voting base. They know it. The media that repeats the lies knows it. Yet they do it anyways because you can't herd sheep without fear and loud noises.
Politicians are so ghey... And it's the people who get fukt. That's the post.
People virtue signalling with flags outside their homes. I really should get on that... Thinking a pirate flag.
Tomorrow night is March Fourth, the 4th... As in March Forth, or to move forward from a starting position. The question is, which way is his forth?

Y'all realize that executive orders can be overturned by the next administration without a second glance, right? The only way an SBR (🤮) actually works is through legislation, ideally bipartisan.
This was impatience and as such it will be hardpressed to last. It sure will cost the people a lot in the meantime.
Shocked Pikachu face! The "crypto president" grifts again? How're y'all so emotional about this? He's always taken the self interested payday over all else. Why do you want him to pump your bags so hard? ₿ has always operated on the power of the individuals collectively putting up two middle fingers to the state. What? You didn't get a watch, cologne, or a pair of his shite shoes to go with your simping?
₿ don't care.

You (collective you) empowered the exchanges.
₿ don't care.
You empowered the hedge funds.
₿ don't care.
You empowered the states.
₿ don't care.
You empowered the nations.
₿ don't care.
Have you forgotten when you empowered yourselves?
Have you forgotten when you were to "stay humble"?
Have you forgotten the mission to "opt out"?
₿ don't care.
Been watching "Yellowstone" and have since discovered it is an absolute crime that Kelly Reilly never won an award for her acting in the show. There's a whole lot of great in this drama but she steals every scene.
Sidenote: I don't give a fuck about award shows and this sleight is further justification.
Long form is everything. If you "don't have time" to deep dive an issue then don't go spouting your "feelings" on it.
Just voted in the Ontario election. My message has been sent.
I used to live in Amemura, s neighborhood in Nanba, Osaka, Japan. My apartment was three floors above overlooking the Kanjo Loop. Many Friday and Saturday nights I could watch the racers... And 30-40s later, much slower, were the police chasing. This video brings back those fond memories. But it also shows hiow times have changed with the modern police using AI, cameras, and ORBIS to track your phone, GPS, biometrics, and track the racers (as well as, I assume, EVERYONE ELSE). Sigh... Japan at the turn of the century had such an easy spirit. What's being implemented there, long after the surveillance state was implemented in the UK, will be coming your way if it hasn't already.
Y'all cry when it rips that you shoulda got more.
Y'all cry when it dips that now you are poor.
Y'all cry when it's flat that it's such a bore.
Quit your moaning.
₿ don't care.
I listened to the opening statements in the French language Liberal Leadership debate and that was more than enough. Yikes! Such cringe. These are not serious people, or, rather, they don't take Canadians seriously.
In Canada we have RRSP (Registered Retirement Savings Plans) kinda like 401k in the US. Contributing to it gets you a tax break as you're effectively deferring paying taxes until you withdraw from that acct, likely when you're 65. I didn't want to pull from my TFSA (Tax Free savings account), like a Roth IRA, and the nice people in MSM, surely sponsored by the banks, promoted getting an RRSP loan. You take the loan, get charged some interest, save the taxes, pay back the loan. Easy, right?
NO! Such a scam and so stupid. They wanted to lend me at roughly 6% interest APR (no biggie but I didn't even get that far in the conversation) only to put into their products with outrageous MERs and severely underperforming funds. In essence they would lend to themselves and collect from you interest and fees while your savings evaporated at returns that are barely averaging greater than inflation. I just wanted the loan to buy some ₿ ETFs (I'm old enough to have trapped money) and reduce the tax.
I did not proceed. F the banks.
Xitter does this strange thing where when I try to respond with a softly controversial reply to a post it suddenly "fails to send". Yeah, free speech my ass.
