A woman (parent) just asked the presenter "How he would describe the faculty's culture" and while that surely a broad, open ended question the answer was given as a stumbling and rambling authoritarian word salad of meaninglessness. Now several other officials are chiming in. It's as if they're trying to address everything but what I suspect the original question was seeking to get. Update: I asked the woman and it was confirmed that she was seeking to be reassured of an openess of political leanings and not just a left wing bias.

Canadian census came. From talking to others it appears we're getting different questions... 🤔 Some other's got questions on educational level and family history of education (maybe not known by Statscan and can, though not definitively relate to incomes). No. I got languages spoken in house, primary language, French education (ok, need that to address resident communication needs, especially with the massive influx of immigrants we've experienced)... Genders... And bloody "gender assigned at birth". Are you F'n kidding me? They didn't ask about other "dysmorphias" or "illnesses per the DSM". They had a comment box at the end of the short census... I let them know I was offended by lack of other mental health questions and correlating social media (tiktok) use nor about MSM (govt paid, mind you) and liberal voting intention correlation.

I have fiat in a captured registered account (RRSP... like a 401K). I've held MSTR in it because it's bloody captured fiat. Now... I don't know what to do. I've been concerned for a while. Seems other holders like @walker and @npub1w9dl...56ya are holding with... reasons (some good, some hopeful, some questionable). At the same time those who do not hold it are "Never MSTR". A door knocked for the local Liberal MP came by my house. She wanted to know if we were "still in alignment" or some such nonsense. I didn't get mad. I pitied her. My opening move was to ask why she was doing this. Why she was supporting this MP and govt. We went over all of her talking points and I, no humble brag, systematically destroyed all of them. The craziest thing? She was an 2018 immigrant from Zimbabwe who had worked as a risk analyst at a bank there. I had to ask if she had any trillion dollar notes... Sadly she did not. I asked what she knew about the alternatives to the liberals, specifically the conservatives and Pierre Poilievre. She knew nothing but emotionally triggering propaganda. I enlightened her to some facts. I suggested that a risk analyst, by training, should be exploring all options and verifying details. I then ran down an exhaustive list of confirmed scandals the liberals have committed and this MP supported. I finished with a discussion on the inflation she experienced in Zimbabwe, the failures of the fiat system, the ludicrous nature of a central banker and the K shaped economy we're experiencing that benefits the elite and the catillionaire class, while she, now a PSW, has been struggling and seeing no benefit. It was all very pleasant and she left with "you've given me much to consider". I don't think I'll ever see her again and I'm sure she marked in her logs "do not approach".

Something that always cracks me up watching "Adventurer" videos is that I know, from their perspective of being between 5-6' tall they're often looking at rocks and trees. So many of the real "money shots" come from them getting all micro in the focus or sending up a drone to capture what they can't really see. In the end, what they experience and show is all through a screen... Just like me on my couch.
