๐Ÿฆ˜ SciAm Issue with "Mathematical Games" Article Published In August of 1997, issue 32 of Scientific American magazine was published, containing the article "Mathematical Games". The article was published despite objections and even threats from the NSA, which considered cryptography to be munition. Thus, this publication became one of the first steps by the freedom fighter community in the struggle against government agencies for the availability of privacy tools for ordinary citizens. image https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBuns9Evn1w-T2RwqMhUnTZbTTe-M-g42

โœŠ Bitcoin Independence Day On August 1, 2017, the Block Size War officially ended. #Bitcoin users demonstrated their independence from miner control by successfully rolling out a software update via a User Activated Soft Fork (#UASF). The soft fork disregarded uncooperative #miners, making it clear that users (i.e., nodes), not miners or companies, control the Bitcoin network. You can learn more about these events in Jonathan Bier's book "The Blocksize War." https://archive.bitcoin-calendar.org/archive/1748772034.161593/index.html#singlefile.html

๐Ÿชฆ Tribute to Len Sassaman On July 30, 2011, Dan Kaminsky and Travis Goodspeed cleverly added an ASCII portrait and a short text into a #Bitcoin transaction in honor of Len Sassaman, who committed suicide on July 3 of the same year, two months after Satoshi sent his last public message. The hackers published the transaction to many specially created addresses that contained text data instead of public key hashes. Therefore, each line contains exactly 20 characters. The close proximity of Satoshi's departure and Len's suicide, and the fact that the latter was a brilliant developer involved in the creation of TCP/IP, working on #PGP, and many other projects, lead many to believe that he was the person behind the mysterious pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. image https://archive.bitcoin-calendar.org/archive/1748756049.874818/index.html#content.html https://archive.bitcoin-calendar.org/archive/1748756125.562482/index.html https://archive.bitcoin-calendar.org/archive/1748756206.638479/index.html#singlefile.html

๐Ÿ“‘ SEC Report on The DAO On July 25, 2017, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (#SEC) issued a report indicating that tokens offered and sold by a "virtual" organization known as "The #DAO" were securities and therefore subject to federal securities laws. The report was issued to create a precedent and inform the public that similar future offerings would be considered securities sales and would need to comply with federal securities laws. Be aware that #shitcoin industry is not a freedom technology. "Crypto" is just a way for token creators and influencers to replace banksters, politicians and tradefi crooks. image https://archive.bitcoin-calendar.org/archive/1748771901.435437/singlefile.html
