What kind of free society can we talk about, even if there are people in Nostr who are familiar with FOSS, cryptocurrencies, and other tools, but at the same time need to be explained the market fundamentals of how two parties can conclude transactions without state mediation?
There will never be a free society as long as we believe that "society" = 51%.
Every time, I am convinced of how brilliant and underrated Samuel Edward Konkin III was in the theory of agorism and counter-economics, and how well it works in practice.
Agorism and counter-economics work for those who take them and start putting them into practice.
And while others talk about how you need to vote in order to live freely and beautifully in the future (and to pay taxes for that) there are those who are already living that way right now.
To understand this mentally, it is one of the major turning points in your life that today you can live a freer day than yesterday. View quoted note →

Support cool FOSS with... *checking notes* ... cool FOSS money: Monero

Reticulum Network

"MeshCore-Open", a cool FOSS for MeshCore (LoRa).
Suggested adding a Monero wallet to them, so I can support them.

Add a Monero (XMR) wallet address to .README, ping me, and I'll be the first to send you XMR. I just love supporting important and cool FOSS: emavg...

I see this kind of nonsense very often.
It feels like it's aimed at helpless Americans who live in default cities in US and think that Europe and regulations is the paradise.

But fanboys will still tell you how cool and decentralized "Near Intents" is.

It's so nice to see that the Monero community continues to live its own life and ignore what's happening in other projects.
Private by default, digital money for those who want to live more freely.
When I think about what lies ahead for XMR, how many censorship-resistant projects await us, it really warms my heart...

It's still a better UX than Lightning Network.

This.
It works for me every time.
And not just when I want to buy something. Even when I want to donate to a FOSS project that I use and that is important to me.
It's simple: if you want to have enlightened people in your circle of liquidity, give them fire. View quoted note →
I asked Wagyu.xyz a few public questions.
https://xcancel.com/thefuzzstone/status/2024288245018735096
I continue to play around with Wagyu.xyz.
Now, instead of "swap", I decided to test the "Exchange" and "Limit order" functions.
I created a clean Rabby for testing and put in a little bit of USDC (Arbitrum), then inside the platform I had to transfer from "Perps" to "Spot", because everything that goes to Hyperliquid = everything goes to Perps by default (which kind of hints that this is a casino).
And I placed a limit order.
Everything works fine, of course, and it's super nice to just click-click-click and you're done, but the question of trust in Wagyu remains.
Again, without maximalism and as neutrally as possible - __it's just one of the tools that needs to be used correctly__.In addition, the delistings of Monero from centralized exchanges played a very important role - it raised the "price" of XMR in the eyes of non-tech goys.
Let me explain.
Centralized exchanges = banks for crypto goys = part of the existing system = controlled by the state.
If anyone believes that Brian Armstrong from Coinbase (or any other CEO of a CEX) is fighting for you and your freedom, think again.
The purpose of delisting XMR from large centralized exchanges = to remove the ability for non-tech crypto goys to buy/sell XMR, because goys should not have access to an instrument such as XMR.
But all this has led to non-tech goys simply appreciating XMR even more, which they receive for their goods/services.
A simple example: I recently onboarded a new merchant to XMR. I explained to him the advantages of XMR over BTC, and explained to him how governments are fighting XMR, and that the Monero community uses XMR as a digital currency to directly purchase goods/services from other goys.
Considering the fact that I helped him with Bitcoin (onchain + Lightning wallet) + EVM wallet (for stablecoins) and Monero wallet, he always chooses XMR and wants me to pay him in XMR.
I also explained to him that the more merchants accept XMR, the stronger we are as ordinary people. I gave him the task of telling another person about XMR, helping them with Monero wallet, and buying goods/services with XMR.
Nothing unusual, just practicing agorism. 😘

Want some fun?
Ask your favorite AI/LLM to explain the "eigenwoningforfait" tax in the Netherlands to you. 😌
I see that European goys have begun discussing the departure of ECB President Christine Lagarde.
The other goys are happy that she might leave.

Why would I need Monero as an ERC20 token? // wXMR
It's funny that after this post, two no-name accounts wrote to me on Telegram, accusing me of... *checking notes*... - "wanting to centralize Monero and destroy its default privacy". 🤦🏻♂️
I can't understand if someone forgot to take their pills or took too many...
Personally, I need "wXMR" as ERC20 because I don't want to use centralized solutions, including small exchangers/swappers that, just like large centralized exchanges, steal money under the guise of fighting for democracy (AML scoring).
And Ethereum (ERC20) is just an example.
In fact, I want to have "wXMR" on different networks and on different DEXs on those networks, including Solana, Arbitrum, Plasma, Polygon, Avalanche, etc.
If someone makes "wXMR" on Solana, that's great! I'll use it!
Just like any other EVM network, provided that I don't have to provide a vaccination passport + gender passport + written permission from the state.
The bridge code must be 100% open source so that I don't have to trust the bridge operator and so that I don't have to wonder when the state will come to the developers to explain how democracy works, or when the developer will decide to do a rug pull.
All I need is a smart contract, 100% open source, so that anyone who wants to can create a beautiful web UI or terminal CLI (and add some % fee for their work) to interact with the logic of the bridge/smart contract directly:
✅ send 1 XMR (native) = to get 1 wXMR-ERC20;
✅ burn 1 wXMR-ERC20 = to get 1 XMR (native);
Given the growing level of totalitarianism in the world, demand for XMR continues and will continue to grow.
So, whoever creates such a bridge/smart contract after FCMP++ is activated and sets a fee for minting/burning "wXMR" will become a hero for the Monero community and beyond, as well as becoming very wealthy.
On average, centralized exchanges charge 0.2% for spot trading. If the same 0.2% commission is set for the minting/burning of wXMR, it will be simply 🚀.
Also, considering the number and development of DEXs with AMM, and that it will be possible to trade freely "wXMR / BOLD" and "wXMR / LUSD"... 😌
These thoughts have been on my mind for a very long time.
The market needs wXMR. View quoted note →
