Bitcoin/crypto self-custody is not dead. Do not fall for the matrix's tricks. What #Coinkite / #Coldcard did is unforgivable, in no way and never. This is outright fraud, an act of aggression against ordinary people who were trying to be independent of the system, and it is precisely these people that these bastards targeted. I cannot even imagine how those who lost their BTC savings feel... Yes, shit happens, and it happened, but that is no reason to give up, or even worse, think about suicide. You are here. It's obvious that this was written by an incompetent person who doesn't know how to use Telegram (including their 'telegram-messenger-tips-tricks' guide). I’m not defending Telegram. It’s just that if you use it, you should either use it _propoerly_, or sooner or later you’re going to get screwed by scammers.

Dear @Jumble / @Cody, When I start using software that I like, I usually end up annoying people with my UX/UI advice, so... It would be great to have slightly more precise notification settings, like in the screenshot below (this is Yakihonne): My reasoning is that reactions and reposts don't matter to me, and I don't want to see a little circle (indicating a new notification) next to the notification icon. However, I do want to see notifications when I've been tagged somewhere and when someone has replied to me (and zaps). What do you think?

I think I've found my favorite Nostr client for my Arch Linux. Jumble is really fast! That won me over right away. I hate slow software. Slow software = bad software. Another thing I like about Jumble is that I don't see the number of followers on other people's profiles. Try it! ->

Ever since the #Coldcard mass theft, I’ve been reading Nostr using various keywords. I’m really surprised by how well so many people know their idols and their personal lives—who was friends with whom, who lives next door to whom, who went on vacation with whom, and so on.

What pleasantly surprised me is that when I edit a picture using 'Fossify Gallery' on Android and, instead of clicking the "check mark," I click the "Share" icon and send it via KDE Connect, KDE Connect on my laptop shows me the 'Open with Spectacle (Edit)' option as the first choice: And if I want to quickly crop a picture, for example, using 'Fossify Gallery' on Android, I do it like this and press "Share" and "Send via KDE Connect," and I get the cropped picture that I can immediately open with 1 click using 'Spectacle (Edit)'. ---- This might sound a bit geeky, but you have no idea how happy I am and how much speed this gives me in my everyday online life. 😅 View quoted note →

I really like 'Spectacle' (in KDE Plasma) and use it every day. However, I was missing a simple feature to open an image in edit mode with just two clicks (so I can blur something fast, etc), so I made it. What was done: Created ~/.local/share/applications/spectacle-edit.desktop [Desktop Entry] Type=Application Name=Spectacle (Edit) Comment=Open and edit existing image in Spectacle Exec=spectacle -E %f Icon=spectacle Terminal=false NoDisplay=true MimeType=image/png;image/jpeg;image/webp;image/bmp;image/gif;image/tiff; Categories=Qt;KDE;Graphics; 2. Added associations to '~/.config/mimeapps.list' (the '[Added Associations]' section) - all 6 image types 'spectacle-edit.desktop', so the entry appears directly in the submenu of 'Open With' without needing the 'Other Application' dialog. 3. Updated caches: 'update-desktop-database' + 'kbuildsycoca6 --noincremental' How to use Right-click any PNG/JPG/WebP/BMP/GIF/TIFF file in Dolphin -> Open With -> Spectacle (Edit). KDE Plasma... 😌
