I think any attempt at herding cats its pointless (i already struggle to control the single cat i live with) The "expert" angle in the new Nostrhub is a bad idea, simply because humans gonna human, and humans form cliques and before you know it one clique dislikes another clique. Especially since we have no proven way to prevent w4men from accessing computers (we should really figure this out before society completely collapses because of this issue), this is bound to result in drama. Now obviously i have positioned myself in popcorn stocks for this reason, so im fine either way, but the nice thing about Nostr is that WE DON'T HAVE TO GET ALONG. As long as we all submit to NIP-01 (praise be upon it), and leave kind1 the fuck alone (looking at you Vitor), we should be fine, ultimately, hopefully. Is the potential (what am i saying, its guaranteed) chaos possibly a reason this whole enterprise fails? Yes. Is it better if for the most part we are able to coordinate on the use of NIPs, such that we have a healthy interoperable ecosystem that is bigger than whatever BIGCORP TM will try to force upon the network at some point? Also yes. Ive mentioned this elsewhere already, but i think instead "experts", it is a better signal to have clients declare what NIPs they use, and have that be indexed/reflected inside Nostrhub. That way you can see what is actually in use on the one hand, and hopefully apps are less offensive/triggering than individuals. I mean seeing "Damus uses this NIP", just hits different than seeing that some drunk yellow fever novice psychonaut thinks a NIP is good. This way we can all welcome Primal to join in the NIP declaration when they finally decide to become a Nostr app. Will this solve the divide between the Jack-titty-sucking-in-crowd and the outsider-forced-to-do-it-on-the-side-because-we-lack-jack-nipple-therefore-we-are-more-authentic-crew? No, it won't, and it should not either, because if it was not for flame-wars, what else would we do...other than praying @♡°˖✧ ˚ claire ˚ ✧˖°♡ will continue posting girly bullshit again asap. Ok, now i am really going to bed, because i also lack opensats-mana-from-heaven and am faced with an early morning and a long day of manual labor in order to feed Kitty. Nostr.

Observing and pondering Nostr is a constant back and forth in my mind between attempts at conceptualization and wondering if i am just fooling myself as a cope. Nostr very much resembles an eco-system, both in its ultimate potential with a large amount of different and overlapping/interconnected usecases, but then in turn perhaps in how it has to establish itself through pioneer species. In that sense microblogging is like grass, that retains and prepares the soil for the herbs and the innitial bugs, progressing slowely towards shrubs, the first trees, critters etc. To at some point become a full fledged forrest. With an already established Internet that now spans the globe, the pollen get scattered globally as well. Succession happens faster in some locations than others, but it seems the innitial patches of grass are touching all corners of the earth. Its fragile in these early stages, and pioneering attempts in certain places might fail innitially, and will have to be tried again later; at the same time a lot of the 'action' actually occurs in the soil, and is hidden from view, its fruits only become appearent much later. But perhaps most importantly in this analogy, is the biodiversity. It is not a monoculture, we have so many different apps, in the category of 'grass' alone we have a pretty long list of viable species, and the many seeds of the many different type of plants and trees are already in the ground, waiting for their time to succesfully germinate. Most likely won't, but the fact they are there to begin with is significant in and off itself. Steady lads, we will let a 1000 flowers bloomscroll image View quoted note →

@Stuart Bowman Everything ok at ? Looks like there are some issues, got a 502 Bad Gateway on a blossomfile, and then i went to the site and it won't load the "my account" page, and gives a network error when i try to look at "my files"
