The notion of a facebook museum is tongue and cheek on the one hand declaring facebook to be 'history', but also open up a dialogue on the question what we are going to do with all that data that is inside facebook currently; all those documented personal lives, communities etc. Their intent with the museum is to focus on the emotional side of things, and the process of mourning that comes along with saying goodbye to such a platform. A while back, @Sebastix and I went to the opening of the museum, and we introduced them to the idea of being able to continue your digital life outside of facebook. Recently we had a talk with them, and introduced them to Nostr. They never heard of it before, and it was somewhat of a curve ball for them. one of the things about manual labour that fascinates me is that you ALWAYS take physical damage. Cuts, bruses, scuffs, splinters etc. Its all minor (hopefully atleast), and you ignore it (untill you bump into the wound, and then you continue ignoring it right after). Its something atleast myself, don't consiously take into consideration when heading out, its almost a silent dimension of the thing. My guess is that the long term wear and tear of joints, back etc. is far more in peoples consiousness when manual labour is concerned; that in the long term it will just grind you up (and the actuall accidents ofcourse, easy to spot the carpenter, just look for the guy with a missing finger)...but its just there in the day to day as well. I dunno....its just such a contrast to computer/office work, which only rarely touches your hp, whilst here it is inherrent on all timescales and levels of severity.
