On this day in 1972, 24 year-old bassist Berry Oakley died in a motorcycle crash at what is believed to be the same intersection as Duane Allman (a year earlier). "Whipping Post" is arguably the best representation of their long-form, improvisational style of blues, rock and what would become "Americana". If you take the lyrics of this track and think of the female antagonist as the FED (or fiat), it puts a nice #Bitcoin spin on it. ;). "I've been run down, I've been lied to... " RIP Berry. Discuss.

As a fan of #Bitcoin, I support #Taylor re-recording her albums (#sovereignty!). As a musician I'm disappointed in the performances (not as compelling as the originals) and mix (i.e. floppy sounding kick on new version of "Shake it Off"). Discuss. #music
