"On 10 December, US forces consisting of the Coast Guard, FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and US Navy seized a vessel carrying 1.8 million barrels of Venezuelan oil in the Caribbean. The crew were mostly Indian nationals, making this an attack on India as well as Venezuela and Cuba. The US claims it has the right to keep the oil due to the vessel’s alleged use in sanctioned activities, even without criminal conviction. In other words, they just have to accuse you of something and they get to steal your property. Isn’t that convenient?"

⚠ Satire Alert ⚠ "When the government announced it was launching an inquiry into grooming gangs, there was huge concern about which grooming gangs would be targeted and whether our favourite paedophiles, such as Prince Andrew, might be in trouble. Thankfully, I can confirm the inquiry will only focus on the worst kind of paedophiles - the brown ones."

In a riveting interview with OANN host and former US congressman Matt Gaetz, The Grayzone's Max Blumenthal discusses the recent indictment of a former top DEA official and veteran CIA asset in a $12 million scheme to launder money and procure drones for Mexico's Jalisco cartel. Blumenthal uses the scandal as a window into the US government's history of covert collaboration with drug traffickers, explaining how the CIA created Venezuela's so-called "Cartel of the Suns," and calling out Trump's pardon of Juan Orlando Hernandez, the former Honduran president convicted of shipping over 400 tons of cocaine into the US.

"He craves it, and, to some extent, his desire was satisfied. President Donald Trump did get a peace prize. Not the peace prize picked out by self-important Norwegian non-entities, but the inaugural curiosity of FIFA, an organisation famed for opacity, corruption and graft. What the critics missed in all of this was its sheer appositeness."

"European governments are pushing back against Big Tech's grip on public infrastructure. Denmark announced earlier this year that its Ministry of Digital Affairs was switching from Microsoft to LibreOffice. In more recent news, Switzerland's data protection authorities declared international cloud services unsuitable for handling personal data. One German state has been leading this charge for quite some time. Schleswig-Holstein started its open source journey early, becoming something of a vanguard in Europe's move away from proprietary software."
